Leases vs. exclusive rights
A lease is a non-exclusive license: you get the right to use the beat in one song under defined limits, while the beat stays available to other artists. It is the fastest and most affordable way to release music. Exclusive rights transfer the exclusive right to exploit the beat to you; the beat is removed from the store and no new leases are sold. Existing leases stay valid for their term.
Producer credit
Every license requires the credit “prod. by Technology” in the song title or credits on streaming platforms and in YouTube descriptions.
Publishing & royalties
Leases do not transfer composition ownership. For songs that earn performance royalties, the producer keeps a writer share as described in the agreement. Master recording revenue within your cap is yours.
Content ID
Our beats are not registered in YouTube Content ID on their own. If your licensed song receives a claim, send the link through the contact form and we will release it. Read more in our licensing guide.

Licensing questions
Can I use a leased beat on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube?
Yes. Every lease allows distribution and monetisation on all streaming platforms and YouTube up to the stream cap of your tier.
What counts as a “stream”?
Any single play on an audio platform (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, etc.). YouTube music-video views count towards the video allowance, not streams.
What happens when I hit my cap?
Upgrade to a higher tier by paying the difference. You don't need to take your song down.
Do I own my song?
You own your lyrics, melody and recording. The beat remains the producer's composition; the lease gives you the right to use it under the stated terms.
Can I register my song with Content ID?
Not on leases, because other artists may lease the same beat. Exclusive-rights holders can register after purchase.
